The Warriors enter the week at 7–5 overall and 3–3 in CCAA play after back-to-back conference victories to open the 2026 calendar year.

Warriors Carry Momentum Into Southern California
Stan State opened the new year with a pair of comeback wins inside Fitzpatrick Arena, erasing halftime deficits in both contests to secure victories over Cal State Monterey Bay and Cal State San Marcos. The Warriors outscored their opponents 90–74 in second halves over the weekend and forced 28 turnovers across the two games while committing just 19 of their own.

Last Time Out
Stan State began the weekend with a dramatic 79–77 win over Cal State Monterey Bay on Friday night, overcoming an eight-point second-half deficit behind 20 points from Donjae Lindsey and a season-high 12 from Mark Jones III. Malachi Johnson recorded his second double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Jason Zimmer sealed the victory at the free-throw line as the buzzer sounded.

The Warriors followed with a 72–68 comeback win over Cal State San Marcos on Sunday, trailing by seven at halftime before erupting for 44 second-half points. Lloyd French and Mark Jones III led the way with 15 points apiece, Jason Zimmer added 14, and Malachi Johnson chipped in 11 as Stan State shot 56.5 percent after the break and knocked down seven three-pointers in the second half.
