SEATTLE, Wash. — Stan State wrapped up competition at the 2026 Husky Classic, held February 13–14 at the Dempsey Indoor, highlighted by two NCAA Division II provisional performances that rank among the nation's best.
Annie Wild led the way for the Warriors in the 800 meters, clocking a 2:09.90. The time ranks third all-time in Stan State indoor history and meets the NCAA Division II provisional standard. Wild's performance currently sits 20th in the nation as the postseason approaches.
Mila Real followed with a record-breaking run in the 400 meters, crossing the line in 55.63 to break her own Stan State indoor school record. Her mark is also an NCAA Division II provisional qualifier and currently ranks 29th nationally.
In the field events at the Husky Classic, Alexi Nino recorded a throw of 12.25 meters (40 feet, 2.25 inches) in the shot put, while Reyna Dismukes posted a mark of 5.30 meters (17 feet, 4.75 inches) in the long jump. Stan State also had three competitors in the women's mile across multiple sections, as Izzy Soto ran 4:59.19, Stevie Holguin finished in 5:02.94 and Crystal Hernandez crossed in 5:04.85.
"We had a good second-day meet," said Stan State Women's Indoor/Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Head Coach Troy Johnson. "Annie (Wild) and Mila (Real) showed their experience and that their training is paying off as they both had personal-best performances that bettered Mila's 400-meter indoor record and ranks Annie third all-time in the indoor 800 meters. All in all, a great job by our women's indoor team and excited to see us in action at Indoor Nationals."
