TURLOCK, Calif. — Stan State returns to Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena this week for its final two regular-season home games, hosting Cal State Dominguez Hills on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m. for Homecoming before welcoming Cal State Los Angeles on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 3 p.m. on Senior Day, when the program will recognize Daniel Ameyaw, Jason Cibull, Javon Johnson, Tahjae Ordonio, and Jordan Smith. With the CCAA Tournament race tightening and four games remaining in the regular season, the Warriors look to capitalize on home court as they continue their push for a postseason berth.
Stan State at a Glance
Stan State enters the week at 12–12 overall and 8–10 in CCAA play with four games remaining in the regular season. The Warriors are averaging 72.3 points per game while allowing 71.2, shooting 45.0 percent from the field and holding opponents to 43.3 percent. Split in Inland Valley Keeps Postseason Berth Hopes Alive
Stan State split its Inland Valley road trip last week, earning a 70–53 win at Cal Poly Pomona before falling 73–72 in overtime at Cal State San Bernardino. Over the two games, the Warriors averaged 71.0 points per contest while holding opponents to 63.0 points per game and just 36.4 percent shooting from the field, including 6-for-48 from three-point range (12.5 percent). Stan State shot 46.8 percent from the floor during the weekend and totaled 18 steals and eight blocked shots across the two contests. Lloyd French led the Warriors with 18.0 points per game over the weekend, shooting 52.2 percent from the field and 40.0 percent from three-point range. Malachi Johnson averaged 15.0 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 73.7 percent from the floor and recording five blocked shots. Donjae Lindsey added 8.5 points and six steals over the two games, while the Warriors forced 32 turnovers and posted a +1 turnover margin during the trip.
CCAA Tournament Outlook
With four games remaining in the regular season, Stan State remains alive for one of the six spots in the CCAA Men's Basketball Championships, scheduled for March 5–8 at Cal Poly Pomona in Pomona. The Warriors sit at 8–10 in conference play, tied with Cal Poly Pomona and one game behind fifth-place Cal State San Marcos and Cal State San Bernardino, who are both 9–9. Cal State East Bay (18–0) and Cal State Dominguez Hills (14–4) have already clinched tournament berths. The winner of the CCAA Tournament will receive the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship.

Malachi Johnson has recorded five double-doubles this season, beginning with an 18-point, 10-rebound performance at Menlo on Nov. 19, 2025. He added an 11-point, 11-rebound effort against Cal State Monterey Bay on Jan. 2, 2026, followed by a 14-point, 13-rebound game at Cal State LA on Jan. 8. Johnson continued the stretch with 19 points and 10 rebounds against San Francisco State on Jan. 15, and closed the run with 15 points and 11 rebounds versus Cal State East Bay on Jan. 17. Lloyd French recorded the first double-double of his career on Dec. 21, 2025 against Cal Poly Pomona, finishing with 11 points and 12 assists. Cal State Dominguez Hills enters Thursday's Homecoming matchup at 19–6 overall and 14–4 in CCAA play, having already clinched a berth in the CCAA Tournament. The Toros average 79.3 points per game while shooting 48.5 percent from the field. Jalen Brown leads the team at 16.0 points per contest, while Josiah Sanders adds 14.8 points and a team-best 6.1 rebounds per game. DaSean Stevens contributes 13.4 points and 98 assists as the Toros enter the week on a two-game winning streak.
Last Time vs. Cal State Dominguez Hills
Stan State fell 80–71 at Cal State Dominguez Hills earlier this season. The Warriors trailed 40–36 at halftime and briefly took the lead in the second half before the Toros pulled away at the free-throw line. Malachi Johnson led Stan State with 17 points, while Jason Cibull added 12 and Donjae Lindsey chipped in 11. Daniel Ameyaw surpassed 500 career rebounds in the contest.

Cal State Dominguez Hills leads the all-time series 21–13 since 2008 and has won the last five meetings. Stan State's last victory came on Jan. 26, 2023, in a 66–65 win in Carson.

Cal State LA enters Saturday's matchup at 7–17 overall and 6–12 in CCAA play. The Golden Eagles average 70.5 points per game. Deraje Agbaosi leads the team at 13.5 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, while Khemanni Davis adds 12.9 points and has connected on 43 three-pointers. Last Time vs. Cal State LA
Stan State fell 57–56 at Cal State Los Angeles earlier this season on a buzzer-beater. Malachi Johnson recorded a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds, while Antony Newman-Gomez added nine off the bench. Stan State outrebounded the Golden Eagles 44–29 in the narrow defeat.
