Saturday

Stan State women's indoor track & field capped off the Wolf Pack Classic with a standout Saturday, highlighted by multiple all-time performances and a school record-breaking throw in the shot put.

Alexis Nino delivered the headline moment of the day, shattering the Stan State shot put school record with a massive throw of 49-8½ (15.15m). The mark earned her a first-place finish, broke her own previous record by nearly a meter, and currently ranks 10th in the nation, standing as the best throw in program history. Donielle Willis added a mark of 37-5¾ (11.42m) in the event.

On the track, Mila Real continued her strong meet, clocking a 9.23 in the 60-meter hurdles to improve her time, but remain second all-time in Stan State history. Ahlia Alberghottie followed closely with a 9.48, tying for seventh all-time on the Warriors indoor list.

Reyna Dismukes added another all-time performance in the sprints, lowering her time to 8.06 in the 60 meters to move into sixth in program history, while Richiya Washington recorded a 8.81 in the event. In the distance events, Aubrey Webb led the way in the 3000 meters with a time of 10:16.00.

"We had a solid two days with a few personal bests, all-time list performances, and two new school records in the women's 200 meters by Mila Real and in the shot put by Alexis Nino, whose huge throw puts her 10th in the country at this moment," said head coach Troy Johnson. "Nino's throw breaks her own school record by almost a meter. Our women's DMR debuted with a strong performance, hitting the provisional mark, and we left time out there which we are confident next week in Washington the ladies will capitalize on. Congratulations to throw coach Casey Ballinger on Nino's performance, and thanks to our entire coaching staff who have done an amazing job this indoor season."
