Cibull, Garrett, Premo and Smith Earn Academic All-District Honors

TURLOCK, Calif.--- Four members of the Stan State men's and women's basketball teams have been named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators. The Warriors earning this prestigious honor are Jason Cibull, Quinn Garrett, Alyssa Premo, and Jordan Smith.

To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale), with GPAs not permitted to be rounded up. Transfer student-athletes must have completed one full calendar year at their current institution, while graduate students must maintain a 3.50 GPA as both an undergraduate and graduate student. In addition, for team sports such as basketball, nominees must compete in at least 90 percent of their institution's games or start in at least 66 percent of the contests during the season.

This is the second career Academic All-District honor for Cibull, who appeared in all 28 games with eight starts this season, averaging 6.0 points and 1.5 assists in 19.7 minutes per game while shooting 89.7 percent from the free throw line. He totaled 168 points and 43 assists with a +1.6 assist-to-turnover ratio and scored a season-high 13 points twice during the year while also putting together a five-game double-figure scoring stretch. In the classroom, he was named to the CCAA All-Academic Team, earned D2ADA Academic Achievement honors, was selected to the CCAA Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, and was recognized as an NABC Honors Court member.

Garrett earned Academic All-District honors after starting all 25 games she played this season, averaging 4.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 33.5 minutes per game. She totaled 106 points, 69 rebounds, and 58 assists while recording 22 steals and four blocks. Garrett posted a season-high 11 points at Cal State Dominguez Hills and dished out a season-best seven assists against UC Merced. In the classroom, she was named to the CCAA All-Academic Team.

This marks the second time in her career that Premo has earned Academic All-District honors after starting 22 of the 25 games she played this season, averaging 11.4 points and 3.5 rebounds per game while shooting 42.0 percent from the field. She totaled 285 points and 88 rebounds, highlighted by a season-high 28-point performance against Cal State East Bay and a 24-point effort at San Francisco State, recording double figures in 15 contests. In the classroom, Premo was also named to the CCAA Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll while earning D2ADA Academic Achievement honors.

Smith earns Academic All-District honors after appearing in all 28 games with three starts this season, totaling 25 points, 36 rebounds, and 11 assists while shooting 87.5 percent from the free throw line. He added four steals and recorded a pair of five-point performances, including a perfect 2-for-2 outing from the field with a three-pointer against Cal State LA. In the classroom, Smith has been a standout throughout his career, earning CCAA All-Academic Team honors, D2ADA Academic Achievement recognition, selection to the CCAA Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, and the Stan State Department of Athletics Honor Roll. He is also a member of the inaugural Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society class and an NABC Honors Court recipient.

All four honorees — Cibull, Garrett, Premo, and Smith — were also named to the Stan State Department of Athletics Honor Roll this past fall.
