TURLOCK, Calif.--- After a dominant week at the plate, Stan State's Katelyn Bridgeman has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Softball Player of the Week, the conference office announced.

Bridgeman powered the Warriors across six games, hitting an impressive .667 (10-for-15) while helping lead Stan State to a 3-3 week, including a 3-1 CCAA series win over Cal State Monterey Bay.

She opened the week with a pair of hits in two games at San Francisco State, going 1-for-3 with a run scored in the opener before adding a 1-for-4 effort in game two.

Bridgeman then erupted in the weekend series against Cal State Monterey Bay. In the series opener on April 17, she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs scored, a double, a home run and an RBI to lead Stan State to a 10-9 victory. Later that day, she added two hits, including a triple, in a 6-3 setback in game two.

On April 18, Bridgeman continued her strong play with a hit, two RBI and a run scored in a 6-5 win in game three before closing out the weekend with a 2-for-3 performance, scoring twice while adding a double and an RBI in an 11-5 victory in the series finale.

For the week, she totaled 10 hits, seven runs scored, four extra-base hits and five RBI, finishing with a 1.200 slugging percentage and a .667 on-base percentage.

The standout performance helped pace a Warrior offense that tallied 40 hits and 30 runs across the four-game set against Monterey Bay, securing a key CCAA series victory.

Following the weekend, Bridgeman is batting .405 on the season with 51 hits, 33 runs scored, 12 doubles, one home run and 10 RBI over 38 games. Defensively, she has also been steady for the Warriors, posting a .975 fielding percentage with 112 putouts and 42 assists on the season.

Bridgeman becomes the second Warrior this season to earn CCAA weekly honors, joining Alexandria Himes, who was named CCAA Pitcher of the Week for March 9-15.
