CLEVELAND, Ohio — Stan State sits second in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) and seventh in the NCAA Division II West Region in the latest LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings released following the winter season.

The Warriors have accumulated 167 total points, placing 69th nationally among NCAA Division II institutions.

Stan State's point total is highlighted by contributions from three programs: women's cross country (64.5 points) and men's soccer (64 points) during the fall, along with 38.5 points from women's indoor track and field in the winter. At the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships, Annie Wild earned First Team All-America honors in the mile with a third-place finish, while Alexis Nino (shot put) and the distance medley relay team of Izzy Soto, Mila Real, Crystal Hernandez and Wild earned Second Team All-America recognition.

"We are proud of the work we have done but still have much more to do," said Director of Athletics Aaron Allaire. "You can see the momentum that we had early continue to carry on. Our student-athletes and coaches have continued to raise the standard and set our mark in the region."

Within the CCAA, Stan State ranks second only to Cal Poly Pomona (303.5 points). The Warriors stand ahead of Chico State (130.5), Cal State East Bay (129), Cal State Dominguez Hills (100), Cal Poly Humboldt (88.5), Cal State San Bernardino (75), Cal State LA (50), and San Francisco State (49).

In the West Region, Stan State's 167 points rank seventh. Cal Poly Pomona leads the region, followed by Simon Fraser (294.5), Western Washington (293), Point Loma (270), Central Washington (198.25), and Alaska Anchorage (174.5).

The LEARFIELD Directors' Cup measures overall institutional success in NCAA postseason competition, with points awarded based on team finishes in championship events.
With the spring season underway, the Warriors will look to continue climbing the conference, regional, and national standings.
