SAN BERNARDINO -- The No. 26 Cal State Stanislaus Warriors travel to Southern California for the second consecutive week to take on the Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes in a four-game California Collegiate Athletic Association series beginning Friday.
The Warriors are coming off of a four-game sweep at the hands of No. 23 UC San Diego, who jumped to No. 7 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll after taking four from the top-ranked Warriors last weekend. Cal State San Bernardino lost three straight to then-No. 15 Cal State L.A. last weekend after winning game one of the series, including a heartbreaker in game three, which the Coyotes lost on a game-winning grand slam.
Schedule changes for the Cal State Stanislaus-Cal State San Bernardino series have been announced for this weekend due to field usage. The series will now feature a doubleheader at 2 p.m. Friday at Arrowhead Credit Union Park in San Bernardino. Saturday the series will shift 15 minutes south to Riverside for a single game at noon, to be played at James W. Totman Stadium on the campus of Cal Baptist University, part of their new Lancer Outdoor Athletic Complex. The series will return to San Bernardino and Arrowhead Credit Union Park on Sunday for a single game at noon.
This weekend's series will also be the first road series of the season to feature a live streaming radio broadcast. Mark Rivera will be in San Bernardino to broadcast all four games live on network1sports.com, as well as provide live stats through warriorathletics.com.
Since joining the CCAA in 1999, the Warriors are 13-27 overall against the Coyotes. That includes a 6-14 mark in San Bernardino. Last season the Coyotes traveled to Turlock and split a four-game series with the Warriors over Spring Break.
