Box Score

SAN FRANCISCO -- David Contreras hit a two-out homer in the top of the 14th to finally end a long game as the Cal State Stanislaus defeated San Francisco State, 3-2.

The Warriors, now 25-19 overall and 17-18 in the CCAA, will host the Gators for a doubleheader on Saturday at Warrior Baseball Field at Noon. It will be senior day for 16 Warriors playing in their final home game.

Contreras, one of those seniors, came through in the 14th when the teams were deadlock without much offense going after San Francisco State tied the game in the ninth.

With two outs, Contreras took a 2-2 pitch from Jeff Clegg deep to left to put Stanislaus up 3-2. Stanislaus senior Chris Anklam then shutdown the Gators to preserve the win.

Anklam, the third pitcher on the day for Stanislaus, pitched two innings without allowing a run picked up the win. He struck out one Gator.

Starter Vinny Pacchetti went nine innings and allowed just one earned run. He couldn't pick up the win, however, when San Francisco State tied the game in the ninth when Will Klein scored for SFSU on a throwing error by the Warrior shortstop.

Kory Wallace pitched the first three extra innings and gave up just two hits. He struck out five and walked three.

Contreras finished the day 2-for-7 with two runs batted in. He drove in a run in the fifth inning on a groundout after John Canepa drove in a score on a double.

Colton Beatty and Zach Cadet each also had two hits for Stanislaus.
