Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ROHNERT PARK — The Cal State Stanislaus softball team once again couldn't recover from another walk-off loss as the Warriors fell to Sonoma State twice on Sunday.

For the second straight day, Sonoma State won the doubleheader opener with a walk-off hit in the bottom of the seven as it won game one 2-1. The Seawolves then took the nightcap, 4-0, to improve to 31-17 overall and 17-15 in the CCAA.

Cal State Stanislaus (15-38, 6-24 CCAA) tied the game in the seventh inning of game on on a bases loaded walk issued to Brieanna Stone, which scored pinch runner Natalie Rendon.

Rendon had replaced Kristan Burns, who drew an one-out walk ahead of a single by Vanessa Del Toro. With two outs, pinch-hitter Nicole Jenkins also picked up a walk against SSU's Samantha Lipperd ahead of Stone's at-bat.

Sonoma State used a walk, a single and two stolen bases to set up the game-winning at-bat by Keisi Chinen. With two outs and runners at second and third, Chinen singled to right to score Shannon Kehr for the win. Kehr reached with an one-out walk by Kiley Mendez, who had replaced starter Brittani Weatherford in the sixth.

Stone had the other Stanislaus hit -- an one-out double to right-center in the third inning. Rachel Borges then reached on an error, but the Warriors couldn't do any damange against Lipperd, who fanned 12 Warriors in the game.

In game two, the Warriors had an opportunity in the second but a double-play erased the rally. In the sixth inning, the Warriors had runners at the corners with one out, but a flyout and a strikeout ended that chance as well.

Sarah Locarnini doubled in the nightcap, Stone went 1-for-3 as the only Warrior to had two hits on the day.

Cal State Stanislaus will play a make-up doubleheader on Tuesday at San Francisco State before finishing its season at home next weekend with a four-game set against last place Humboldt State (14-35 overall, 6-26 CCAA).
