Box Score HAYWARD — The Cal State Stanislaus offense was stifled on Friday in the opening game of the four-game set against Cal State East Bay in a 4-0 game.
East Bay's Ben O'Bryan gave up just four hits in seven innings of work to lift the Pionners as they improved to 9-3 overall and 2-3 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. The Warriors dropped to 4-8, 1-4 CCAA.
The Warriors will hope to find some offense with the series shifts to Turlock for a doubleheader on Saturday. Cal State Stanislaus has now been shutout five times this season.
Klayton Miller led the Warriors with a double. Three other Warriors each collected a single.
Byron Lemon suffered the loss on the mound. He gave up four runs on eight hits in 4-plus innings pitched.
First pitch for Saturday's twinbill is at 11 a.m. at Warrior Baseball Field.
