Series Notes: The Warriors have won two of the last three meetings against UC San Diego with the loss during the 2012 CCAA Championship tournament. During regular season play, Stanislaus is 2-0-1 against the Tritons in the last three seasons, plus a win over UCSD in the 2011 CCAA Championship semifinal match. UCSD leads the head to head series 11-4-1 ... Versus Cal Poly Pomona, the Warriors are 5-10-1 all-time against the Broncos. Stanislaus is 3-1-0 in the last four seasons against the Bronocs including a win the last time they played in Pomona in 2011.
Last Time Against the Opponents: Stanislaus beat-up on UC San Diego, 4-1, on Oct. 4, 2013 in Turlock.
Karenee Demery scored twice and assisted on another while
Sabrina Williamson and
Kirsten Coleman both also chipped in goals. The last time the teams played in La Jolla was Oct. 19, 2012 when UC San Diego was ranked No. 12. The Warriors won that match 1-0 behind a
Apryl Whitney goal in the 89th minute ... The Warriors also beat Cal Poly Pomona, 4-1, last year on the same weekend on Oct. 6. Demery scored two more goals and assisted on another with Williamson and
Tina Benson each added another goal. The Warriors won the last match in Pomona, 2-1, on Oct. 14, 2011.
In the Rankings: For the 20th consecutive weeks during the regular season, dating back to the start of the 2012 season, the Warriors are ranked in the NSCAA Top 25 this week as they are back in the top 10 at No. 7. Stanislaus is also No. 1 in the West for the third time this season - and the sixth time in the last eight regular season weeks ... Sonoma State dropped a spot to No. 15 (2nd in the West) and Cal State San Bernardino, which lost twice, is at No. 25 (5th in the West).

Road Warriors: The Warriors have been extremely successful on the road in recent years with an impressive mark of 21-1-4 over the last 26 matches, which datesd back to the middle of the 2011 season.The 25-match unbeaten streak was snapped on Sept. 28 at Cal State Monterey Bay.
Beating Up on Ranked Teams: Cal State Stanislaus is now 6-1-2 in three-plus seasons against Top 25 ranked teams after Sunday's win over then-No. 14 Sonoma State. Of those six wins, three of them were against Sonoma State, which was ranked No. 2 on Sept. 23, 2012 when the Warriors beat them 4-1 in Rohnert Park.
CCAA POTW for the Third Time: This week,
Jade Poon was named the CCAA's player of the week for the third time this season after scoring two goals - including the equalizer and the go-ahead goal (until SSU's tying score in the final seconds). She also assisted on the game winning goal in double overtime with her shot that went off the post. Poon continues to lead the CCAA with 11 goals this season.
Williamson's Golden Shoe: Well, her cleats are not actually metallic, but
Sabrina Williamson scored the golden goal in Sunday's double overtime sudden victory win over Sonoma State. Willamson, who has been looking for her first scores of the year, found the back of the net twice against the Seawolves. She first got the Warriors on the board in the 66th minute to cut the Stanislaus deficit in half. The returning All-CCAA third team pick then won the match with :51 seconds left to play.

UC San Diego is 1-2-2 in its last five matches but did beat Cal State San Bernardino, 1-0, on Oct. 3 with the Coyotes ranked No. 8 at the time ... Cassie Callahan leads the team with three goals. Jordyn McNutt has three goals and five assists ... Kelcie Brodsky leads the CCAA with 45 saves.
About Cal Poly Pomona (6-4-0, 1-3-0 CCAA): The Broncos have lost two straight after a 6-2 start with losses to Chico State and Cal State Dominguez Hills (the Toros' only win this season) ... Pomona is led by Daisy Duran's five goals and three assists offensive totals ... Ricki Ives has played every minute in goal with a 1.00 goals against average ... The Broncos are 5-2 at Kellogg Field this season.
