Box Score 2 HAYWARD — Great pitching won game one and a 9-run first inning led to the game two victory as Cal State Stanislaus swept Cal State East Bay on Friday.
Karina Callazo pitched a one-hitter complete game in game one as the Warriors won 3-2. In the second game the Warriors pounded out 17 hits to score 14 runs to win 14-6 in six innings for the twinbill sweep.
Cal State Stanislaus, which has won three of its last four games, improved to 15-34 overall and 8-22 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. Cal State East Bay fell to 22-25 overall and 13-17 in the CCAA.
Callazo allowed just one hit in the opener — a solo homerun by Ali Ceminara — in the fourth inning. A walk and a throw error and a grounder resulted in a second Pioneer run in the fifth without a hit. Outside of these two innings. Callazo faced just four batters over the minimum in the other five innings on walks or hit-by-pitch to keep East Bay from scoring.
The Warriors, trailed 2-0, scored all three of their runs in the final inning.
Melissa Robles ledoff with a single, a walk and two outs later, the Warriors rallied.

Kristan Burns cleared the bases with a double down the left field line to make it 3-2.
In the nightcap, Stanislaus jumped all over East Bay starter Kelsey Cairns, who managed one out and was charged with seven runs on four hits. The Warriors scored nine runs in the first on eight hits.
Cierrah Mullins drove in two in two at-bats,
Deenah San Luis,
Morgan Balestreri and
Cassidy Duke all each singled in a run and Burns drove in two runs with a double to power the team.
Robles also doubled in two runs in the third before finishing with a 2-for-3 game two. Mullins and Balestreri each had three hits and Duke ended up with a 4-for-4 game. Robles went 4-for-6 in the double as the Warriors combined to hit .351 in the doubleheader, tallying 20 hits.
