Last Time We Met... was Jan. 3 in Pomonoa. The Warriors were held without a field goal in the final 3:01 and loss 60-57.
Rob Walters had 12 points and eight rebounds to lead Stanislaus.

Christian Bayne scored 14 points to lead the Warriors over UC San Diego, 53-48, for their fifth straight win in La Jolla.
About the Tritons: Since losing to the Warriors on Jan. 2, UC San Diego has gone 8-1 (only lost was to Humboldt State at home … The Tritons average 8.3 three-pointers per game, best in the CCAA … Hunter Walker leads the team with 12.6 points per game.
CCAA Top Four Meet This WeekendThis week's CCAA games are pivotal in the race for the top of the conference standings as the top four teams meet each other in Turlock and Chico. The Warriors and the Wildcats are hosting first-place Cal Poly Pomona and UC San Diego, which is tied for third with Stanislaus.
See-Saw Battle In the StandingsDepending on the outcome of this weekend's games, here and in Chico, the Warriors could be in a wide-range of different positions in the conference standings. They can either be back in first place (with two wins) or in a three-way tie for fourth (with two losses).
Walters Keeps On LeadingAt this rate,
Rob Walters could be a player of the year candidate, especially if the team can reach the top. Walters put up two more double-doubles with lots of defensive intensity last week. He netted 10 points with 12 rebounds to go with three blocks and two steals in Friday's win versus Cal State Dominugez Hills. Then, Walters scored 14 with 10 rebounds with a block and a steal on Saturday. He now has 14 double-doubles in his career, five this season. It was also the second time this season he's recorded double-doubles in consecutive games over the same weekend.
Mataele DistributesComing off one of the best offensive weekends he's had two weeks ago,
Shey Mataele has also gotten his game back as far as running the offense and dishing. Mataele had 18 assists in the last three games, including a season-high seven against Cal State Dominguez Hills. He now averages three per game in 11 games played.
Bayne Hitting the FreebiesChristian Bayne has scored in double figures in three of the last four games, mainly because he's hitting his free throws. The freshman was 6-for-6 on Friday and 6-for-7 on Saturday. In fact, prior to the miss late in the game, he had connected on 18 consecutive free throws. He's now 19 of his last 20 tries at the line. For the season, Bayne is 33 for 40 (team leading 82.5 percent).
Capacity Crowd ExpectedFitzpatrick Arena is expected to be near capacity for Friday night's contest against Cal Poly Pomona with the season's largest student body attendance on Homecoming night. It is also Alumni and Hall of Fame Weekend at CSU Stanislaus … The Warriors are averaging 660 fans per home contest this season with most of the games during Winter Break. Last weekend's average was 805 in the 2,000-seat Arena.

Offense Struggles, A LittleThe Stanislaus offense has struggled a little in three of the last four games. The Warriors have shot 40 percent or worse and made less than 67 percent of their free throws in these three games, which resulted in two losses.
Read Was Consistently In Double FiguresChris Read ended his streak of scoring in double digits at six games. Prior to last weekend, he had scored 10 or more points in 15 of the first 17 games of the season. Against Dominguez Hills and L.A., he had six and seven points, respectively.

Program's Best RecordCal State Stanislaus set a program record with 23 wins in 2013-14, more than doubled the win-total from the previous year (10). The last time a Stanislaus team posted 20 wins was in 1992-93 under John Jones (20-8), the only other time a Warrior team had 20 wins since Cal State Stanislaus became a Division II program.
CCAA Basketball ChampionshipsThe 2014-15 CCAA Men's & Women's Basketball Championship tournament will be held March 5-7. Six teams qualify for the event to be held at the Stockton Arena in Stockton. The winner of the tournament would receive the automatic bid for the NCAA tournament.
CCAA Preseason Coaches PollThe defending CCAA tournament champions Cal State Stanislaus Warriors were picked to finished third this season in a preseason poll of the league's head coaches. The Warriors received two first-place votes and earned 98 points, 10 points behind Cal State San Bernardino, which was picked to finish second. Cal Poly Pomona, which received eight first place votes, was the favor to win the 2014-15 title.
Head Coach Larry ReynoldsLarry Reynolds is in his sixth season as the Warriors' head coach. In his first five seasons, he compiled a record of 71-68 with two winning seasons. He is the Warriors' 10th head coach and the program's fourth head coach during the CCAA era …The 2013-14 season was his most successful season at Stanislaus as he led the Warriors to a CCAA Championship while surpassing the school record now with 23 wins — his best season at a Division II school since 2001-02, when he led Cal State San Bernardino to a 28-2 mark. That Coyotes team advanced to the NCAA Championship quarterfinals. While at Long Beach State, Reynolds led the 2006-07 team to the NCAA Tournament after winning the Best West.
Warrior Strong At HomeThe 2013-14 Cal State Stanislaus team enjoyed its best home record in the Division II era as the Warriors went 12-2 inside Fitzpatrick Arena. They were 9-2 in CCAA games played at home, compared to a 6-6 overall and 5-6 conference record on the road.
The Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick ArenaWarrior Arena was renamed Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena at the start the 2010-11 season. The arena is named for Ed and Bertha Fitzpatrick, owners of Valley Lexus/Valley BMW in Modesto and other car dealerships in the Bay Area. The Fitzpatricks have been long-time supporters of California State University Stanislaus. The gym has been named Warrior Arena since 1999, 21 years after it was built … Since 1998, the Warriors have a 53.1 winning percentage in all home games … The home attendance record is 2,375 set on March 4, 1989 against Nebraska Wesleyan during a Division III regional tournament game.
