Home Sweet Home
The home stretch of games should be good news for Stanislaus State to begin the new year as the Warriors are so far 3-1 in games at Fitzpatrick Arena this season. Since the start of the 2013-14 season, Stanislaus is 29-13 in home games (23-11 in CCAA contests).

Since You've Been Gone
Over the holiday break, the Warriors played just two games — on the road in CCAA arenas — with narrow defeats at Cal State San Bernardino (Dec. 29, L, 59-56) and at No. 23 UC San Diego (Dec. 30, L, 67-57) … Just before the break, the Warriors defended home court with a 79-74 win over Fresno Pacific on Dec. 19.

Against Ranked Teams
Saturday's opponent, San Francisco State, will be the Warriors' third ranked foe this season. The Gators are ranked No. 21 in this week's NABC Top 25. Previously, Stan State faced No. 19 Chico State on Nov. 22 and No. 23 UC San Diego last Friday.

Ragsdale Makes Splash
Freshman guard Jaelen Ragsdale has made three consecutive starts and he has been as good as advertised (California Division III player of the year). Ragsdale netted 20 points against Fresno Pacific and since added two more double-digit scoring games. In three games, he averaged 16.3 points (16 of 19 from the free throw line) a game.

Dominance of Faniel
Despite ending his double-digit scoring streak at five games (he scored 8 points in each of two games last week), Vondel Faniel has been consistently controlling the paint this season. He's now averaging 11.3 points and 8.0 rebounds a game.He had two double-digit rebounding games out of the last three outings (he had eight rebounds last Friday), including a double-double performance (18 points, 14 rebounds) on Dec. 19 against Fresno Pacific.

Snagging the Rebounds

Solid Defensive Efforts
