This week the Warrior softball team will travel to San Francisco State for the first of two consecutive weekends on the road. Stan State will play two doubleheaders against the Gators starting at noon on both Friday and Sunday.

Series Notes:Â The Warriors are 50-45 against San Francisco State overall. Last season Stan State hosted the Gators and went 1-3 in the series, winning the opener 7-2.

Beating Ranked Teams: Last weekend the Warriors defeated No. 7 Chico State twice as they split the series. Stan State won the series opener 4-0, all the while only allowing a single hit. The Warriors also won the final game of the series, 4-1. Stan State has a positive history of beating ranked teams, taking a game off of No. 1 Humboldt State, No. 6 Chico State, No. 8 Cal State Monterey Bay, and No. 18 Cal Baptist last season.

Heat in the Circle: Pitching the opening game against the nationally ranked Wildcats, sophomore
Megan Stacy was able to continue her winning streak by increasing her record to 5-0. Stacy pitched all seven innings against Chico State and gave up just one hit while striking out six batters.
About San Francisco State:Â Katie Rohrer is most efficient at the plate for the Otters with a .404 batting average, and is 23-for-57 with 14 RBI. Sara Higa leads San Francisco with 16 RBI and is third with 15 runs. Both Rohrer and Andrea Hildan have each scored 17 runs this season.
