SEASIDE — The Stanislaus State men's golf team closed out an impressive fall schedule Tuesday with another top-five team finish, this time finishing fifth at the Otter Invitational at Bayonet Golf Course.

The Warriors shot a three-round total of 896 (+32) and finished seven strokes off the tournament champions, Cal State San Bernardino (889, +25). Stan State was tied for the team lead after round one Monday, shooting a 6-over 294 team total to start. They would fall to second place at the end of the day, five strokes behind the Coyotes, when they shot an 18-over 306 in round two. An 8-over 296 on Tuesday was one of the best rounds of the day among the 15-team field, but it wasn't enough to overcome CSUSB.

The Warriors had two individuals finish among the top-10. Brad Sparrer led the way for a second straight week, tying for fifth with a three-round total of 219 (+3). He was under par in two of his rounds, shooting a 2-under 70 in Monday's opening round and finishing with a 1-under 71 on Tuesday.

Michael Jura earned his third top-10 finish of the fall, tying for eighth at 6-over (73-76-73—222). Jura was third in the tournament with 35 total pars. He posted 13 more in Tuesday's final round, including seven in a row to close out his day.

Chris Ebster (70-78-81) and Tim Sauer (82-74-73) both tied for 27th with 13-over 229 tournament totals. Ebster was tied with teammate Sparrer for the tournament lead after round one with his 2-under 70. Sauer's 73 on Tuesday was tied for the second-best round on the team. Armaan Sahota finished tied for 76th at 27-over 243 (81-83-79).

Stanislaus State posted a strong showing in the fall season, winning a tournament and collecting two other top-five finishes. The Warriors had individuals place among the top-five in each of the four tournaments they played in this fall.
