MARYSVILLE, Calif. – The Warriors crew left for the two-day Chico State Wildcat Classic at Peach Tree Golf & Country Club and came back with a 7
th place team finish. Redshirt Junior
Chris Ebster had himself a day, placing 2
nd overall and hitting under par in all three rounds.
Stan State finished just behind CCAA rivals Cal State San Bernardino and Cal State San Marcos, who had a three-way tie for fourth place with Holy Names. Ebster started the first round of day one going 7-under 72, following that performance in round two at 6-under. He would end day one of competition sitting pretty in 3
rd place, followed by his counterpart Sophomore transfer
Nate Jetton at 15
th. Ebster finished day three under par by just one stroke to tie for 2
nd place, while Jetton finished 2-over 72 in round three to finish tied for 22
nd.
Freshman
Chris Chomyn was right behind Jetton in the final round, tying for 26
th place overall. He finished his day strong at 3-under 72 in round three. Freshman
Camdan Indelicato and Sophomore
Armaan Sahota each ended the day at 48
th and 54
th, going 8-over and 13-over in three rounds. Sahota saw improvement during his third round performance at 2-under 72. Freshmen
Jarred Hernandez would also tie for 54
th with Sahota, while
Bradley Olson would round out the Warriors squad placing 62
nd.
The team heads to the Otter Invitational on Monday, Oct. 17
th at Monterey Bay before their long trip to Hawaii in late October.
