TURLOCK, Calif.---  As announced this morning, Stan State Josh Santillan was named to the 2022 D2CCA All-West Region Team as voted on by the region's College Sports Communicators.  Santillan was a Second Team selection.  This was his second post-season honor this Fall as in late October he was named to the All-CCAA Second Team.

This is the third time in his collegiate career that Santillan has been named to the D2CCA All-West Region Second Team.  In 2018 and 2019, he was a Second Team honoree with Notre Dame de Namur University before transferring to Stan State.  Santillan led the Warriors with his seven goals, three assists and 17 points.  He also recorded a team leading two game-winning goals in Stan State's 1-0 win over Saint Martin's and 3-0 win at Cal State San Bernardino. 

The senior forward started in 12 of the 13 games he played in for the Warriors.  He logged 804 minutes while recording 17 shot attempts including 14 on goal.  Santillan was the named the CCAA/Pixellot Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 19-25. That week, the Newark native scored three goals and had an assist in the Warriors' 2-1 week.  He started the week with a goal in the Warriors' 3-0 win over UC Santa Cruz.  In Stan State's 3-0 win at Cal State San Bernardino, he scored two goals including the game-winner and added an assist.

During his two years at Stan State, Santillan scored eleven goals and had seven assists.  Of his eleven goals, three were game-winning goals.
