SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.--- Stan State's scheduled game at Cal State San Bernardino has been postponed due to the inclement weather in Southern California. The two teams are scheduled to play a noon starting single game tomorrow, March 3 at Fiscalini Field in San Bernardino, Calif.
Stan State swept a doubleheader from the Coyotes yesterday 13-11 and 6-2 to take the first two games of the scheduled four-game series.
In the opener,
Alex Solis was four-for-five with five runs batted in and a run scored and a home run.
Kyle Rachels added a two-run home run for the Warriors.
Kody Cardoza (2-0) picked up the win in relief, pitching 2.2 scoreless innings, giving up three hits, striking out two and walking one.
Tony Jacob (1-2) pitched a three-hit complete game in the Warriors' 6-2 night cap victory. He gave up three hits and two unearned runs while striking out seven and walking four.
Chris Catalano was two-for-four with a run scored and five runs batted including a three-run home run.
Jackson Brooks hit a solo home run.
After Sunday's scheduled game, the Warriors will return home for a four-game series with Chico State. The series will begin with a 6pm starting single game on Friday, March 8. The two teams will continue the series with a 1pm starting doubleheader on Saturday, March 9. They will finish the series with a noon starting series finale on Sunday, March 10.
