LOS ANGELES, Calif.--- Participating in one of four meets this weekend in Southern California, Stan State recorded several personal bests while recording a top five time and capturing an event at the two-day Cal State L.A. Twilight.
Alfred Nunes finished in first in the pole vault with a mark of 15-4.25 (4.67m). The men's 4x100 relay team finished in fourth place with a time of 41.32 which is the fourth fastest time in school history.
"Another great meet by our student-athletes today with several personal bests," said head coach
Troy Johnson. "
Alfred Nunes won the pole vault while the 4x100 relay moved into the top five in the school record books."
Nunes and the 4x100 relay team of
Damaris Burt,
Jaheim Williams,
Eris Hutchins, and
Jemar Armstrong were two of four top five placers for the Warriors. Williams was third in the 200-meter dash, Jason
Lindsay was fourth in the discus, and the men's 4x100 relay team of
Jules Sanchez,
Anthony Pimentel,
Paul Roberts-Estrada, and
Levi Gardner finished in fifth place.
Stan State will continues its weekend at the Beach Invitational, Bryan Clay Invitational, and the Leopard Distance Carnival in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area.
