TURLOCK, Calif. — Stan State returns to action April 30–May 2, traveling to San Marcos, Calif., for the 2026 CCAA Track & Field Championships at Mangrum Track & Field. The meet marks the start of the postseason for the Warriors, who enter the conference championships following a strong regular season that featured multiple NCAA provisional marks, top-10 program performances and depth across both track and field events.
Warriors Build Momentum Heading into CCAA Championships
Stan State enters the postseason following a strong weekend of competition April 16–18 across the Leopard Invitational, Bryan Clay Invitational and Mt. SAC Relays, highlighted by NCAA provisional marks, all-time program performances and a relay victory.
Bela Moreno led the way with a provisional mark in the 3000-meter steeplechase (10:58.68), while
Alexis Nino added another qualifying mark in the hammer throw and the men's 4x100 relay captured first place at Bryan Clay with a time of 40.58. The Warriors also saw multiple top CCAA marks across the throws, hurdles and middle-distance events, continuing to build momentum against a deep field of Division I and II competition.
Stan State Posts Top-8 CCAA Marks Across Multiple Events
Stan State has recorded top-eight CCAA marks across a wide range of events this season, showcasing balance on both the track and in the field. In the sprints,
Andrew Bishop ranks fifth in the 100 meters and sixth in the 200 meters, with
Jaevin Sawyer also eighth in the 100. The women's middle-distance group features three top-eight marks in the 800 meters from
Megan Silva (4th),
Crystal Hernandez (6th) and
Izzy Soto (8th), while Silva also ranks sixth in the 1500 meters. In the hurdles,
Timothy Miles sits fifth in the 110-meter hurdles and
Ahlia Albergottie ranks fourth in the 400-meter hurdles, while Isabela Moreno is fifth in the steeplechase. The men's 4x100 relay ranks second in the CCAA and the 4x400 sits sixth.
In the field events,
Eric Green leads the conference in the long jump with
Ivan Mendoza third, while
Reyna Dismukes ranks fifth in the long jump and sixth in the triple jump.
Eligah Lawrence adds a top-10 mark in the triple jump on the men's side. In the throws,
Mason Phillips ranks second in the shot put and sixth in the discus, with
Luke Giannotta also sixth in the shot put, while
Alexis Nino leads the CCAA in both the shot put and hammer throw and
Donielle Willis ranks sixth in the shot put. The men's hammer throw group is a major strength with
Logan Edwards leading the conference, Giannotta fourth and Phillips sixth, while on the women's side Nino leads the hammer with Willis also ranking sixth. In the javelin,
Justice McDermont sits seventh and Lexi Pulido is seventh on the women's side, while McDermont also ranks eighth in the decathlon, rounding out a strong group of conference contenders heading into the championships.
Warriors Post NCAA Provisional Marks Across Multiple Events
Stan State has recorded multiple NCAA Division II provisional qualifying marks this season, highlighted by
Alexis Nino's conference-leading marks in the hammer throw (55.04m, 19th nationally) and shot put (14.35m, 20th nationally), along with
Eric Green's long jump mark of 7.38m (30th nationally). On the track, the men's 4x100 relay team of
Blayne Siebert,
Jaevin Sawyer,
Andrew Bishop and
Ivan Mendoza posted a time of 40.57, ranking 39th nationally, while Bishop's 21.11 in the 200 meters sits 52nd. On the women's side,
Megan Silva's 2:10.87 in the 800 meters ranks 50th nationally, and Isabela Moreno's 10:58.68 in the 3000-meter steeplechase is 51st. The official NCAA Division II Championship field will be announced May 12 on NCAA.com. The NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships are scheduled for May 21–23 at Francis G. Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kansas.

Stan State enters the CCAA Championships with several current athletes already etched into the program's outdoor top-10 lists. On the men's side,
Jaevin Sawyer ranks No. 1 all-time in the 100 meters (10.42) and No. 2 in the 200 meters (21.07), while
Andrew Bishop sits No. 3 in both the 100 (10.50) and 200 (21.11).
Blayne Siebert is No. 7 in the 100 (10.73) and No. 8 in the 200 (21.54). In the relays, the 4x100 team of Siebert, Sawyer, Bishop and
Ivan Mendoza holds the school record at 40.57, while another combination of Mendoza, Siebert, Sawyer and Bishop ranks No. 5 at 40.86. In the field events,
Eric Green is No. 2 all-time in the long jump (7.38m), Mendoza is No. 6 (7.17m),
Mason Phillips ranks No. 8 in the shot put (16.32m), and
Justice McDermont is No. 10 in the javelin (51.79m).
Timothy Miles also ranks No. 8 in the 110-meter hurdles (14.78).
On the women's side,
Megan Silva ranks No. 10 in the 800 meters (2:10.87),
Bela Moreno is No. 5 in the 3000-meter steeplechase (10:58.68), and
Stevie Holguin sits No. 7 in the 3000 meters (10:10.00).
Ahlia Albergottie moved to No. 7 in the 400-meter hurdles (1:03.12), while
Reyna Dismukes ranks No. 3 in the long jump (5.82m) and No. 3 in the triple jump (11.79m). In the throws,
Alexis Nino is No. 2 all-time in the shot put (14.35m) and improved to 55.04m in the hammer throw, a mark that moves her to No. 5 all-time in program history.
Warriors Set to Compete at CCAA Championships
Stan State will send a full roster to the 2026 CCAA Track & Field Championships, with a balanced group of competitors across both the men's and women's squads. The men's team is led by

Preliminary rounds for running events are scheduled for Thursday and Friday, including the 100 meters, 200 meters, hurdles and 800 meters, with finals set for Saturday. Distance finals, including the 1500 meters, steeplechase and 5000 meters, will take place across Thursday through Saturday, while relays are scheduled for Saturday. The decathlon begins Thursday morning and continues into Friday, alongside field events contested throughout the three-day meet.
