TURLOCK, Calif. — Stan State's Alexis Nino has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Female Field Athlete of the Week for the second time this season following a dominant performance at the Mark Conover Classic, held March 21 in San Luis Obispo.
Nino turned in one of the top all-around performances in the nation this season, leading the Warriors across all three throwing events.
She highlighted the meet with a 177-10 (54.20m) mark in the hammer throw, which ranks eighth in NCAA Division II and meets the provisional qualifying standard. Nino followed with a 47-1 (14.35m) throw in the shot put, moving to sixth in the nation and second all-time in Stan State history, while also securing another NCAA provisional mark.
Nino also posted a 127-8 (38.91m) mark in the discus, moving into the top 10 in program history and completing a dominant showing across all three throws.
With her performance, Nino continues to establish herself among the top throwers in NCAA Division II, ranking inside the top five nationally in both the hammer throw and shot put while building toward postseason competition.
This marks Nino's second CCAA Field Athlete of the Week honor of the 2026 outdoor season.
Stan State will continue its outdoor campaign next week as the Warriors travel to compete at upcoming meets leading into conference and national qualifying opportunities.
