TURLOCK, Calif. — Stan State returns to action April 3–4, splitting competition across three meets in the Bay Area. The Warriors will compete at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational hosted by California at Edwards Stadium in Berkeley, the Mike Fanelli Track Classic hosted by San Francisco State at Cox Stadium in San Francisco, and the Stanford Invitational at Cobb Track and Angell Field in Stanford. Competition is scheduled to take place throughout the day Friday and Saturday at all three sites.
Warriors Shine at West Coast Relays
Stan State delivered a strong performance at the West Coast Relays, highlighted by a school-record and NCAA provisional mark in the men's 4x100 relay as the quartet of
Ivan Mendoza,
Blayne Siebert,
Jaevin Sawyer and
Andrew Bishop clocked 40.57, ranking among the top times in NCAA Division II. Bishop added provisional marks in both the 100 (10.50) and 200 (21.11), moving to No. 3 all-time in program history in each event, while
Eric Green hit a provisional mark in the long jump (7.38m / 24-2.5). On the women's side,
Ahlia Albergottie moved into the program's top 10 in the 400-meter hurdles (1:03.70), and
Alexis Nino continued her strong season across the throws as the Warriors posted multiple all-time marks and built momentum across all event groups.
NCAA Provisional Marks
Stan State has already recorded multiple NCAA Division II provisional qualifying marks during the outdoor season, led by standout performances on both the men's and women's sides.
Andrew Bishop owns a provisional mark in the 200 meters (21.11), while also contributing to the 4x100 relay team of
Blayne Siebert,
Jaevin Sawyer, Bishop and
Ivan Mendoza that posted a provisional time of 40.57. In the field events,
Eric Green recorded a provisional mark in the long jump at 7.38m (24-2.5), ranking among the top marks in the nation. On the women's side,
Alexis Nino has recorded two provisional marks, leading the way in both the shot put (14.35m / 47-1) and hammer throw (54.20m / 177-10), continuing to establish herself among the top throwers in NCAA Division II.
CCAA Top Marks & Times
Stan State has placed a strong group of athletes among the top eight in the CCAA performance lists this season, highlighted by multiple event leaders and NCAA Division II provisional marks on both the men's and women's sides.
On the men's side,
Andrew Bishop ranks fourth in the 100 meters (10.50) and is tied for the top mark in the conference in the 200 meters (21.11), while also contributing to the conference-leading 4x100 relay team (40.57). The Warriors have multiple sprinters ranked in the top 15, including
Jaevin Sawyer and
Blayne Siebert in both the 100 and 200. In the field events,
Eric Green leads the CCAA in the long jump (7.38m / 24-2.5), with
Ivan Mendoza ranking third (7.17m / 23-6¼).
Mason Phillips sits second in the shot put (16.32m / 53-6.5) and fifth in the discus (46.02m / 151-0), while
Luke Giannotta ranks third in the hammer throw (51.87m / 170-2) and
Logan Edwards also sits among the top five. The 4x400 relay team ranks sixth in the conference (3:18.65), and
Timothy Miles leads the hurdle group with a top-15 mark in the 110 hurdles and a top-15 time in the 400 hurdles.
On the women's side,
Alexis Nino leads the CCAA in both the shot put (14.35m / 47-1) and hammer throw (54.20m / 177-10), both NCAA provisional marks, while also ranking among the top 10 in the discus. On the track,
Megan Silva (3rd, 2:13.44) and
Izzy Soto (4th, 2:13.95) headline the 800 meters, with
Crystal Hernandez also ranking in the top 15. In the 1500 meters, Soto (3rd, 4:36.07) and Silva (6th, 4:36.93) lead a deep distance group that includes multiple top-20 marks.

Reyna Dismukes ranks fourth in the long jump (5.62m / 18-5¼) and fourth in the triple jump (11.62m / 38-1½).
FloCollege/CCAA Athletes of the Week
Stan State has earned multiple FloCollege/CCAA Track & Field Athlete of the Week honors this season, highlighted by
Izzy Soto being named Track Athlete of the Week (Feb. 16–22) and
Alexis Nino earning Field Athlete of the Week honors twice (Feb. 16–22, March 16–22).
Andrew Bishop was also named Track Athlete of the Week for March 23–29 following his standout performance at the West Coast Relays.

Thursday: Multi Events Begin
Stan State opens the weekend Thursday with the multi events, as Justice McDermott,
Joel Pitts and
Joseph Easterwood begin competition at 11:30 a.m.
Friday: Split Competition Across Bay Area
The Warriors will compete across Stanford and San Francisco State on Friday, highlighted by a full slate of field and distance events.
In the field, the hammer throw begins at 10 a.m. at Stanford with
Luke Giannotta,
Logan Edwards and
Mason Phillips leading the men, alongside
Alexis Nino on the women's side. The shot put follows in the afternoon featuring Nino and
Donielle Willis.
On the track, the distance group will compete at San Francisco State, highlighted by the 1500 meters and 5000 meters. The 100 meters at Stanford will feature
Andrew Bishop and
Jaevin Sawyer, with Bishop also competing in the 200 meters later in the day.
Ahlia Albergottie will race in the 400-meter hurdles, while
Bela Moreno competes in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
Saturday: Full Day of Competition at Cal & SF State
Competition continues Saturday with events split between California and San Francisco State.
Field events at Cal begin with the hammer throw at 9 a.m., followed by the long jump and triple jump featuring
Eric Green,
Reyna Dismukes and
Richiya Washington. The throws continue with shot put, javelin and discus, with strong representation across both the men's and women's groups including Nino, Phillips, Giannotta and Edwards.
On the track at Cal, Stan State will compete in the 4x100 relay with
Blayne Siebert,
Andrew Bishop,
Ivan Mendoza and
Jaevin Sawyer. The Warriors will also compete in the 110 hurdles (
Timothy Miles), 100 meters, 200 meters and 4x400 relay to close the meet.

Stan State will continue its outdoor slate April 16–18, splitting competition between the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific at Cougar Athletic Stadium in Azusa, the Mt. SAC Relays at Hilmer Lodge Stadium in Walnut, and the Leopard Invitational hosted by La Verne at Ortmayer Stadium. The Warriors will then turn their focus to the CCAA Track & Field Championships, set for April 30–May 2 in San Marcos, before qualifying athletes look ahead to the NCAA Division II National Championships, scheduled for May 21–23 at Francis G. Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kansas. The official field for the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be announced May 12 on NCAA.com.
