TURLOCK, Calif. — Stan State closes out the home portion of its regular season this weekend, hosting Cal State Dominguez Hills in a four-game CCAA series at Warrior Baseball Diamond. The series begins Friday, April 24 at 6 p.m. on Blue Chip Broadcasting Sponsor Night, continues with a Saturday doubleheader on April 25 at 1 p.m., and concludes Sunday, April 26 at 12 p.m. Senior Day festivities will take place prior to the finale with a ceremony scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
The Warriors remain in contention for a postseason berth in the five-team CCAA Baseball Championship Tournament, set for May 6–9 in San Bernardino, and will wrap up the regular season on the road at No. 11 Cal State Monterey Bay April 30–May 2.

Austin Balentine continues to climb the Stan State career record book, as he is now sixth all-time with 21 career wins and is tied for eighth in program history with 173 strikeouts alongside Nick Voumard. Louie Souza ranks fifth with 23 career wins, while Peter Maldonado sits seventh on the strikeouts list with 198.
Pierce Sailer has also moved up the Stan State single-season record book, as he is tied for eighth with five saves alongside Eric Cendejas and is one save away from moving into a tie for sixth. Sailer is also just one save away from moving into a six-way tie for eighth place on the program's career saves list.
CCAA Leaders
Stan State ranks among the CCAA leaders in several categories this season. The Warriors are first in saves, third in sacrifice hits, and rank fifth in both opponent batting average and doubles.
Individually,
Austin Balentine ranks fifth in innings pitched and strikeouts looking, is tied for sixth in wins, and ranks ninth in both ERA and opponent batting average.

Stan State ranks among the NCAA Division II leaders in several categories this season. As a staff, the Warriors are 31st in the nation in shutouts and 15th in walks allowed per nine innings. Individually,

CCAA Standings
No. 11 Cal State Monterey Bay leads the CCAA standings with a 17-7 conference record and a 32-10 overall mark, riding a six-game winning streak. Cal Poly Pomona is second at 17-11 in conference play and 25-17 overall, followed by Cal State San Marcos (13-11, 26-13) and Cal State Los Angeles (15-13, 25-20).
Cal State San Bernardino (11-12, 19-21) and Cal State East Bay (11-13, 20-22) remain in the mix, while Chico State sits at 10-14 and 21-21 overall. Stan State enters the weekend at 9-14 in CCAA play and 18-22 overall, just ahead of Cal State Dominguez Hills at 8-16.

Nigel Buckley leads the lineup with a .383 batting average, eight home runs and 40 RBI, while Quinn Johnson is hitting .349 with a team-high nine home runs and 29 RBI. Tristan Usher has added eight home runs and 27 RBI, and Angel Cortez has driven in 22 runs.
On the mound, Cal State Dominguez Hills owns a 5.46 team ERA with 221 strikeouts in 304.2 innings.
Series History vs. Cal State Dominguez Hills
Cal State Dominguez Hills leads the all-time series 37-25 over Stan State since 2008. The Warriors hold a slight edge at home with a 14-13 record, while going 11-24 on the road in the series, including a 25-37 mark in CCAA play.
Stan State enters the weekend having won the most recent match-up, a 15-4 victory in Carson on March 2, 2025. In that win, the Warriors recorded 23 hits, led by
Robert Valdivia, who went 4-for-6 with four RBI, and
Arthur Navarette Jr., who went 5-for-5 with three runs scored. Valdivia is currently a member of the Stan State coaching staff, while Navarette Jr. is a returner on this year's roster.
The Warriors' last home win over the Toros came on February 25, 2024, a 5-4 walk-off victory in Turlock. Chris Catalano delivered the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the ninth, while
