NEW ORLEANS, La.--- The Stan State women's track & field program, under the direction of head coach Troy Johnson, has been recognized as a USTFCCCA NCAA Division II All-Academic Team for the 2025-26 academic year, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The Warriors earned the honor after posting a cumulative team grade-point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The award is presented annually to NCAA Division II programs that demonstrate excellence both in the classroom and in competition.

The academic honor caps another outstanding year for the Warriors, who enjoyed success on the track and in the classroom.

During the 2025-26 academic year, Annie Wild captured First Team All-America honors in the mile after placing third at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships. Wild also teamed with Crystal Hernandez, Mila Real and Isabel "Izzy" Soto to earn Second Team All-America honors in the distance medley relay with a ninth-place finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Alexis Nino also garnered Second Team All-America honors in the shot put after placing 16th nationally. The Warriors also earned multiple USTFCCCA All-West Region honors during the indoor and outdoor track & field seasons.

During the outdoor season, Alexis Nino earned USTFCCCA All-West Region honors in the hammer throw and was named All-CCAA First Team in the event while also garnering All-CCAA Third Team recognition in the shot put. Isabel "Izzy" Soto earned USTFCCCA All-West Region honors and All-CCAA Third Team recognition in the 1,500 meters. Wild capped her standout campaign by being named the Stan State Female Athlete of the Year.

Four Warriors—Crystal Hernandez, Stevie Holguin, Mila Real and Annie Wild—also earned USTFCCCA NCAA Division II All-Academic Athlete honors for their combined success in the classroom and in competition.

The Warriors continued to excel academically throughout the year. Hernandez, Real and Wild earned CSC Academic All-District® honors, while Wild was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America® Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Second Team for the second consecutive year. Wild, Nina Furtado, Aubrey Lascano, Yelena Ordonez and Bianca Scott were inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society. In addition, numerous Warriors earned recognition on both the CCAA Fall and Spring Academic Honor Rolls as well as the Stan State Department of Athletics Fall and Spring Honor Rolls.

The USTFCCCA NCAA Division II All-Academic Team honor underscores Stan State's commitment to achieving excellence both academically and athletically and continues the program's tradition of producing high-achieving student-athletes under Johnson's leadership.
