TURLOCK, Calif.--- Men's cross country junior Jackson Oliveira and women's cross country sophomore Stevie Holguin have been named the Stan State Housing and Residential Life Warriors of the Week for their performances at the Kim Duyst Twilight.

Oliveira finished second overall in the men's 8K with a time of 24:05.5, finishing as the top collegiate runner in the field. His performance helped lead the Warriors to a third-place team finish, as Stan State was the top NCAA Division II team in the 10-team field.

The Modesto native has led the Warriors in both races this season. He opened the year by placing 11th at the USF Invitational before finishing second at the Kim Duyst Twilight. Oliveira was also named the FloCollege/CCAA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Holguin captured the individual title in the women's 6K with a time of 20:41.4, finishing 3.5 seconds ahead of UC Santa Barbara's Jordin Lieberman. Her victory helped lead the No. 12 nationally ranked Warriors to the team championship with 22 points.

The Seal Beach native's performance helped Stan State place four runners among the top five and all five scorers among the top nine. The Warriors finished 11 points ahead of NCAA Division I UC Santa Barbara to win the Kim Duyst Twilight team title for the second consecutive year.

Holguin has led the Warriors in both races this season, placing sixth at the USF Invitational before winning the Kim Duyst
Twilight. She also earned her second consecutive FloCollege/CCAA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honor.

Both teams will return to action at the Bronco Invite on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Baylands Park in Sunnyvale. The men's race is scheduled to begin at 8:45 a.m., followed by the women's race at 9:30 a.m.
