SAN FRANCISCO — For the second time this season, the Cal State Stanislaus baseball team completed a four-game series sweep as they took both games of a doubleheader today at San Francisco State, winning 6-3 in game one and 13-8 in the nightcap.

With the twinbill sweep, the Warriors are off to a 11-3 overall start. The Warriors are 4-0 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association after winning their sixth straight game.

Tuesday's doubleheader was rescheduled from this past weekend when the games were postponed due to weather.

San Francisco State fell to 3-11 overall and 0-4 in the CCAA.

The comeback kids once again rallied in their final at-bat for the nightcap win. After trailing 8-7 going to the seventh and final inning, Stanislaus struck for six runs, including a three-run homer by Dante Palacios that drove in Kyle Loretelli and Jeff Bellotti. Loretelli drove in the game's go-ahead run earlier in the frame when he doubled down the right field line to score Jeff Hughes.

Cal State Stanislaus and San Francisco State offenses took charge early on each scoring three runs in the first inning of game two. By the end of the second inning, it was already 6-5 in favor of the Warriors. SFSU, however, pushed across three more runs with Stanislaus tagged a run in the fifth to make the score 8-7 to set-up the final inning.

Jake Oketani led the Warriors in the first game, going 3-for-5 and Dustin Donnell went 2-for-5 with two doubles. Bellotti drove in three runs, including a two-run double in the fifth that extended the Warrior lead to 4-1.

Jeff Harter got the win in game one in relief and Andrew Troncale pitched the last 1 1/3 innings to earn his third save of the season.

Oketani also drove in two runs in game two with Palacios the hitting star, going 2-for-5 with three RBIs. Loretti went 2-for-2 and drove in two runs. David Contreras also drove in two runs for the Warriors. Josh Lewis got the win in relief, allowing just two hits and an unearned run in 1 1/3 innings of work.

The four-game sweep was the Warriors' second this month as they swept Central Washington Feb. 9 and 10.

The Warriors return home, where they are 9-1 this season, to host defending West Region champion Cal State L.A. for a four-game set, beginning on Friday.
