TURLOCK — Missy Corral delivered the walk-off single as Cal State Stanislaus rallies from behind to earn a doubleheader split with Cal State San Bernardino on Saturday.

The Warriors won the finale 5-4 to pick up the twinbill -- and series -- split. Cal State Stanislaus is now 5-20-1 overall and 3-17 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.

Cal State San Bernardino scored twice in the seventh inning of the first game to win 4-2 and the Coyotes are now 12-17, 10-8 in the CCAA.

The Warriors used a three-run third to take a 3-1 lead but saw that advantage evaporate when San Bernardino had its own three-run inning in the fifth.

Stanislaus had a golden opportunity to answer right back, loading the bases with nobody out to start the bottom of the fifth. However, an unfortunate infield grounder to third and a base-runner mistake turned it into a double play. Another grounder ended the inning without a CSUS score.

The Warriors would hang in until the home half of the seventh, trailing 4-3. Sarah Locarnini set the table again with a leadoff single -- her fourth hit of the game -- and ended up on second on a throwing error by the CSUSB shortstop.

Nikky Rissetto moved Locarnini over with a bunt and Erica McIntyre was hit by a pitch and stole second. Jennifer Arnold then advanced both runners and scored Locarnini with a deep fly to center to tie the game to set up Corral's heroic at-bat. After working the count to 1-2, she took the next Carly Land offering opposite field over the second baseman's head for the game-winner.

Corral had came through earlier in the game with a run-scoring double as part of the Warriors' three-run third. Arnold also had a sac fly in that inning and Cassandra Carlos scored the first run on an error.

Arnold, the game two starter, again pitched well until she got into trouble in the fifth. She finished with five innings pitched and allowed four runs on seven hits. Brittani Weatherford pitched the final two innings and gave up just one hit to earn the win.

Locarnin was 4-for-4 in game two and collected five hits in the doubleheader, extending her hitting streak to 17 games. Rissetto went 2-for-2 in the second game while McIntyre and Veronica Luna each had two hits in game one.

In the opener, after CSUSB took an early 2-0 lead after the first inning, the Warriors equaled the score in the third with a McIntyre two-run blooper to left. The Coyotes, however, won the game with two runs in the seventh with RBI singles by Britney Butler and Felicia Cervantes.

Cassidy Lee got the win in game one for CSUSB, tossing the complete game with two runs on six hits and six strike outs. She also walked four.
