Speaking of Charlie Gaff, he's currently tied for the NCAA Division II lead with 19 sacrifice bunts (Blake Richardson, University of Indianapolis). By average, Gaff is second with 0.41 sac bunts per game (19 bunts in 46 games). Hawaii Hilo's Kyle Yamada has a 0.43 average (17 in 40 games).

Voumard Top Stopper
Nick Voumard
is the national leader with 15 saves this season, two saves ahead of Zach Mozingo of No. 1 Mount Olive and Gibson Russ of Central Oklahoma. Voumard has recorded 15 saves in 20 appearances.

Kron Aces 2017 Season
Jordan Kron
continues to be the team's pitching ace as he recorded his second consecutive 8-win on Thursday. Kron became the first Warriors to win seven or more games in consecutive seasons. In two years, he's posted a 16-7 record (8-2 in 2017) with a career ERA of 2.45 (2.17 in 2017), currently atop of the Stan State career top 10 list.

Nine-Game Winning Streaks
The Warriors had a 9-game winning streak during two separate occassions during the 2017 season. After splitting on opening day, the Warriors rolled off nine straight to start the year 10-1. Then, after losing two straight at Cal State San Marcos to drop four consecutive games in CCAA play, the Warriors turned a 21-14 record into a 30-14 mark with another 9-game win-streak … The 2009 team started the year 9-1 with a 9-game winning streak … The Stan State record is 13 consecutive wins.

30-Win Seasons
Stanislaus surpassed the 30-win mark for the first time since 2009 when that team went 31-21, following the 2008 team's 37-23 season (the best during the Division II era). The 2006 team was the only other squad to win 30 or more games (31-124).

All Offensive Nixon
Kyle Nixon
leads the Warriors in all major offensive categories including hits (55), homers (10) and runs (42). He tops the team with a .301 batting average and a .519 slugging percentage. He is also second in walks (20) and third in stolen bases (12). He's the first Warrior with 10 homeruns since 2010 (Doug Porras).

Kout-Soy-An-Opulos
Despite missing games early in the season, Aldo Koutsoyanopulos has gotten his groove back. He is currently batting .293 making him a career .322 hitter in two seasons.

Trending Hitters
Nick Ippolito
has a six-game hitting streak (10-for-27 with four RBIs) and Gino Franceschetti has reached base in 10 straight games. Franceschetti had 7 RBIs in four games last weekend.

Set-Up Man
Jarrett Veiga
has been nails out of the bullpen as Nick Voumard's set-up man. In his last nine appearances (all Stan State wins), Veiga has not allowed a run, gave up just four singles and struck out 13 in 8 1/3 innings.

Valley Tough in Stockton
There are a number of Warriors on the active roster who are from the San Joaquin Valley — 17 in all. However, senior centerfielder Charlie Gaff is the only one who calls Stockton home. Gaff graduated from St. Mary's High School in 2012 and went to Pacific (Ore.), where he was a redshirt during his first year in college.
