Andrew Wheat went 3-for-4 with a solo homer, Jarrett Veiga drove in three runs and belted a two-run bomb, and three other Warriors each had two hits for a productive night. Braeden Oki, Jack Large and Brandon De La Guardia each collected two singles.

Stan State scored twice in the second and single runs in the third and fourth to jump out on top 4-0 after four innings. They finally chased LA starter James Mendez in the seventh after an Oki single to left that made it 5-0. Robbie Stowell then allowed a two-run single to Large to make it 7-0.

Veiga's two-run homer — from the right side of the plate — in the eighth, made it 9-0.
