TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State will host its final four home games of the 2024 regular season this Friday-Sunday, April 26-28. The Warriors will face Cal State San Marcos in a four-game CCAA series at Warrior Field. The series will begin this Friday, April 26 at 6pm on Blue Chip Sponsorship Night. The two teams will play a 1pm starting doubleheader on Golden Valley Health Center Day this Saturday, April 27. The series finale will be this Sunday, April 28 with an 11am starting nine-inning game on Senior Day. Prior to the game at approximately 10:40 a.m., the Warriors will recognize their seniors.
WARRIORS: Stan State is 14-24-1 overall and 10-20 in the CCAA after its bye week. The Warriors have a .293 batting average with a 6.07 team earned run average. They are still alive for the 2024 CCAA Baseball Championships, May 8-11, at Cal Poly Pomona. The top six teams at the end of the regular season, May 4, will receive a berth to the six-team CCAA Baseball Championships. After hosting Cal State San Marcos, Stan State will finish off its regular season with a four-game series at Cal State Los Angeles (May 2-4).

Flavio Perez and Rachels lead the team with their 24 runs batted in this season. Catalano and Solis are tied for the team lead with 25 runs scored while Solis and Valdivia are tied for the team lead with 51 hits. Solis has a team leading 13 doubles to go with his team high 76 total bases. Catalano has posted a team high .482 slugging percentage with Murphy leading the team with his .457 on-base percentage. The Warriors are 37-for-45 in stolen base attempts led by
Jacob Baker and
Chris Catalano each with six. Stan State has hit 35 home runs led by Rachels' six home runs followed by Perez and Baker each with five.

LAST TIME: Stan State went 1-3 in its four-game series at SF State, April 12-14. The Warrior hit .333 led by the trio of
Flavio Perez (.667),
JD Madrigal (.500), and
Jerry Nix (.400). Perez posted a team high 1.067 slugging and .706 on-base percentage. He drove in a team high nine runs with his ten hits of which three were doubles and one a home run. Madrigal scored a team leading five runs followed by
Robert Valdivia's four.
Austin Balentine picked up the Warrior victory with
Patrick Sweeney recording the save.
Trent Huff had a 1.93 earned run average in his 4.2 innings in his start followed by
Tony Jacob's 3.00 earned run average in six innings.
SIX AWAY: Kenny Leonesio is 494-544-3 in his 22-years as the head coach at Stanislaus State. Leonesio has coached 57 All-CCAA players, 13 West Region Players, 3 All Americans, 2 CCAA and West Region Pitchers of the Year, and 9 Warriors have signed professional contracts with Major League teams. His 2008 team's 37 wins is the most in a season in the programs history.

Solis saw his nine-game hitting streak snapped in the Warriors' series at SF State as did Catalano's 16-game reached base safely streak.
CAL STATE SAN MARCOS: The Cougars are 25-15 overall and 24-11 in the CCAA after sweeping SF State this past week at home to clinch a spot in the CCAA Baseball Championships. Heading into this weekend, CSUSM is in first place in the CCAA with a .322 batting average and a 6.63 earned run average. Eight Cougars are hitting over .300 led by Ethan Rivera's .395 average followed by Garret Teunissen's .390. Luke Reece leads the team with his 44 runs batted in and nine home runs while Phoenix Sommay has scored a team high 47 runs. Teunissen leads the Cougars with his 14 doubles and is tied with Reece with 87 total bases. He also has stolen a team high 18 bases. Victor Castaneda has a team high .707 slugging percentage and Sommay leads the team with his .489. Preston Kelly and Roman Connolly each have posted a 5-1 record. Kelly has seven saves with his team low 2.81 earned run average. Nolan Long has struck out a team high 40 batters.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Stan State leads the all-time series with the Cougars 11-10 since 2016. The Warriors took two out of three games from the Cougars in San Marcos in 2023. They won the first game 4-3 behind
Tony Jacob's six strikeout game.

Robert Valdivia hit a home run. Stan State lost game one of the doubleheader, 2-0. The Warriors won what was the series finale, 15-8, with
