TURLOCK, Calif.--- After splitting its final home stand of the regular season with first place Cal State San Marcos, Stan State will travel to Los Angeles for a four-game series with Cal State Los Angeles at Reeder Field this Thursday-Saturday, May 2-4. The series will begin with a 6pm series opener this Thursday. The two teams will continue the series with a 1pm doubleheader on Friday. The series finale is set for Saturday at noon.
WARRIORS: Stan State is 16-26-1 overall and 12-22 in the CCAA after going 2-2 in its four-game series with Cal State San Marcos. The Warriors are hitting .290 as a team and have a 6.64 team earned run average heading into its final four games of the regular season. They still have a chance to make the CCAA Baseball Championships, May 8-11, at Scolinos Field on the campus of Cal Poly Pomona in Pomona, Calif.

Jacob Baker and Catalano each have stolen a team high seven bases. Rachels is tied for the team lead with six home runs with
Flavio Perez. He also leads the team with his 26 runs batted in while Catalano has scored a team high 29 runs. Solis leads Stan State with his 13 doubles while Rachels and Valdivia each have a team high two triples.
STAN STATE PITCHERS: Caleb Bertoncini has posted a team low 2.93 earned run average.
Austin Balentine leads Stan State with his six victories and two saves.
Tony Jacob has struck out a team high 43 batters.
LAST WEEK: Stan State went 2-2 against Cal State San Marcos.
Kyle Rachels hit .467 while
Chris Catalano posted a .364 average followed by
Ryan Leonesio at .333 and
Robert Valdivia at .313. Leonesio drove in five runs and Catalano scored a team leading four runs. Austin Baletine and
Caleb Bertoncini each recorded complete game victories. The duo struck out a combined batters and walked two in 18 innings.
FOUR AWAY: Kenny Leonesio is 496-546-3 in his 22-years as the head coach at Stanislaus State. Leonesio has coached 57 All-CCAA players, 13 West Region Players, 3 All Americans, 2 CCAA and West Region Pitchers of the Year, and 9 Warriors have signed professional contracts with Major League teams. His 2008 team's 37 wins is the most in a season in the programs history.
CCAA LEADERS: Austin Balentine is tied for sixth in the CCAA with his six victories and is tied for ninth with his two saves.

Flavio Perez, and Rachels each have six multiple-RBI games followed by
JD Madrigal with five. Valdivia saw his 11-game hitting streak snapped last week while
Jerry Nix is r-ive with a run on a four-game hitting streak. Catalano saw his 16-game reached base safely streak snapped at SF State, but is on a four-game now.
Ryan Leonesio is on a six-game streak now.
CAL STATE L.A.: The Golden Eagles are 22-24 overall and 16-20 after their four-game series at SF State. They are hitting .305 as a team and have a 6.28 earned run average. Malik Clayton is hitting a team high .352 followed by Elijah Jackson and Matthew Piotrowski each at .351. Isaiah Marquez has driven in a team leading 45 runs and Jackson has scored a team high 47 runs. Jackson leads the team with his 15 doubles and four triples while Marquez has hit a team high nine home runs. Leading the team with his 12 stolen bases is Jackson.
ALL-TIME SERIES: The Warriors trail in the all-time series to the Golden Eagles, 32-27 since 2008. The two teams split their series last year in Turlock. Cal State L.A. won the series opener 9-4 despite
Mac Cabero went four-for-five with a run scored.
Alex Solis and
Kyle Rachels each went two-for-five while Solis scored two runs. The Golden Eagles lost game two 4-2 despite
Tony Jacob's six strikeouts.
Tyler Van Dyk,
Flavio Perez and Rachels each had two hits. The Warriors won the third game, 2-1 in nine innings when
Ryan Leonesio scored the game-w9inning run.
Jacob Baker had two hits in the game for the victors. Stan State won the series finale 10-7 behind Van Dyk's three-for-five with three runs batted in day. Rachels and Leonesio each drove in two runs and Leonesio scored twice.
