Stanislaus State Athletics

Bart McAfee had an impressive two-year career on the Warrior Baseball team as the team’s starting second baseman. Bart was a two-time, second team All-American and as the team’s captain, helped guide the Warriors to the 1986 NCAA Division III College World Series. He was named all-conference that year. Bart is currently the head varsity softball coach at Merced High School. Jon Schaefer, the Associate Principal and Athletic Director at Merced High had this to say about Bart. “Bart has been a tremendous asset to Merced High School’s Athletic and Physical Education departments. As a coach and teacher, he has been instrumental in guiding our student-athletes to paths of success. We are extremely fortunate to have him as a member of our Bear family, and we are proud of him for his induction into CSU Stanislaus Athletic Hall of Fame."
