A program from the 1980-81 season described Harvey Marable as “a quiet man who goes about his business on the court,” but there was no way of overlooking the 6’3” star athlete. In his first season as a Warrior, Harvey led the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging 20.9 points per game and 251 rebounds. This led to an All Far Western Conference second Team honor. The next season, Harvey led the team in scoring and was second in rebounding, averaging 19 points and over nine rebounds per game. He also achieved a record 225 field goals made in a single season in 1980-1981. This outstanding season brought him All Far Western Conference first team and team MVP honors. Following his athletic performance at California State University, Stanislaus. Harvey played semi-pro in New Zealand in 1982. He is currently head basketball coach at Pitman High School.
