Stanislaus State Athletics

Shawn distinguished himself during his two years on the golf team.  During the 1979 season he earned first team All Far Western Conference honors and third team All-American in Division III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association.  The year culminated in a national championship for the Warriors.  In 1980 Shawn improved upon his junior year and once again earned first team FWC honors, moving up to first team All American at the NCAA national championship where he once again led the Warriors to a national title.
