Stanislaus State Athletics

Kim Hankal was not only a great athlete but also was an outstanding team leader. Her teammates selected her as team captain in both of her two years as a Warrior; 1988 and 1989. In both years she also earned All-American honors at the NCAA Division III National Championship in the heptathlon. In 1988 Kim finished 8^th with a score of 4,154 points. At the national meet she set a school record in the high jump with an effort of 5’2 1/2 “. In 1989 she finished fourth nationally with a score of 4,468 points, setting a new school record. In 1988 Kim also competed in cross-country and was a top five scorer.
