Warrior Athletics Hall of Fame
Before making his mark as a Major League Baseball All-Star with the Minnesota Twins, Joe Ryan was a dominant ace for the Warriors in 2018. That season, he was named CCAA Pitcher of the Year, earned First Team All-American honors from CoSIDA, ABCA, and NCBWA, was recognized as the West Region Pitcher of the Year, and was selected to the All-CCAA First Team. Following his standout year at Stan State, Ryan was drafted in the seventh round (210th overall) of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Tampa Bay Rays. He made his Major League debut with the Minnesota Twins on September 1, 2021, and quickly emerged as one of baseball’s premier young pitchers. A 2022 MLB All-Rookie First Team selection, Ryan has since become a cornerstone of the Twins’ rotation. Through the 2025 season, he has posted a 46-36 career record with a 3.79 ERA, 719 strikeouts, and a 1.06 WHIP over 641 innings pitched, including a 13-win, 3.42 ERA campaign in 2025. His rise from Warrior standout to Major League All-Star is one of the most remarkable stories in program history.
