Warrior Athletics Hall of Fame
Schefkowitz was a member of the Stan State Department of Athletics'' Staff from 1993 to 2015. She was the head softball coach from 1993 to 2015 and head volleyball coach from 1993 to 1997. In 2007, Schefkowitz led the Warriors to a 2007 NCAA Division II National Championship Tournament appearance after winning the West Region Title. The 2000 CCAA Coach of the Year had 557 wins during her career victories in softball and led Stan State to six NCAA Tournament appearances. She was named the 2007 NFCA West Region Coach of the Year as well as the 2000 CCAA Coach of the Year. In 2008, Stan State captured the CCAA Tournament Title. Schefkowitz also started the Annual Crab Feed for the Athletic Department which she was in charge of until later in her career. She also played a key role in the current Stan State Softball Field being built.
