Marquis Fleming was a dominant pitcher in the CCAA and he carried that success into a professional career. Fleming was a 2008 Major League Baseball draftee in the 24th round by the Tampa Bay Rays after leading the Warriors to their first NCAA tournament appearance.
 
In 2008, Fleming earned his third All-CCAA award, was named the CCAA and West Region pitcher of the year en route to an All-American second team nod.
 
Fleming holds the Stanislaus career record in strikeouts (292), is third in wins (28), innings (349.2) and complete games (20). He also owns six single season records.
 
The 2008 communications studies graduate played five seasons in the Tampa Bay organization and advanced as far as Triple A Durham.
