Stanislaus State Athletics

During her two years of eligibility as a Warrior Beany was a starter on the volleyball team and excelled as a member of the track and field team in the shot put, discus, hammer, and javelin. In her specialty, the javelin, Beany twice earned Division III NCAA All American honors at the national championship track and field meet. At the national meet at LaCrosse, Wisconsin in 1986 Beany established a new school record in winning the individual national championship with a throw of 152’9”. In conference competition Beany placed second in the NCAC meet in 1985 and was the conference champion in 1986.
