Warrior Athletics Hall of Fame
One of the most accomplished student-athletes in Stanislaus State history, Kati Busi excelled in both basketball and track and field from 2008 through 2012. On the basketball court, she earned Daktronics All-Region Second Team honors (2010-11) and was a three-time All-CCAA First Team selection (2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11). She led the Warriors in scoring three seasons, rebounding and blocked shots four times, and steals three times. Busi appeared in 106 games with 101 starts, amassing 1,361 points (12.8 per game), 965 rebounds (9.1 per game), 200 blocked shots, 165 steals, and 293 free throws made. She ranks tied for second in program history in scoring and second in rebounds. Her 35-point effort against Cal State San Bernardino on Feb. 7, 2009, remains the fifth-highest single-game total in school history, and she still holds the Stan State single-season record for blocked shots (65 in 2008-09).
Busi also starred in track and field during the 2012 season, becoming a CCAA Champion and All-Region honoree in the hammer throw. She earned All-CCAA honors and still ranks fifth on the Stan State all-time list in the event (170 feet, 0 inches). Her success across two sports showcased her rare combination of power, athleticism, and determination, making her one of the most versatile and decorated athletes in Warrior history.
