Mark Loureiro was a hard-hitting first baseman. He contributed to the Warrior’s NCAA Division III National Championship in 1977. In 1978 and 1979 mark led his team to the Division III World Series and was selected All-Conference both years. In 1979 he earned All-American honors as the team won the conference championship. Mark ended his career as a Warrior with a .327 batting average, 495 at bats (third all-time), 162 hits (second all-time), 220 total bases (fourth all-time), and 97 runs batted in (third all-time). Additionally, Mark set single season records for most at bats with 221 and 56 RBI’s in 1979. Following his seasons as a Warrior, he played two seasons of professional baseball for the Visalia Giants.
